Development of a state-of-the-art 42,000 square foot pharmaceutical research facility: This expansion aimed to cater to the rapid growth of a highly skilled team and the incorporation of advanced equipment. The newly established headquarters now serves as the central hub for the entire company, seamlessly integrating engineering, research, manufacturing, clinical, and commercial teams. Within its expansive layout are specialized spaces, encompassing laboratories, test facilities, and final assembly areas.
The project encompassed just under 7000m², evenly distributed across the four units. Screeding and leveling for each unit were accomplished in a single working shift, employing mechanical pumps to mix and transport the flowing polymer screed. The existing floors were aged and damaged from prior industrial operations. After thorough trials, the client concluded that the Optiplan levelling system, combined with colored epoxy coatings, offered the most suitable and cost-effective solution. Due to the phased nature of the project, each unit had to be completed within seven working days from start to finish.
Repair Project for a well-known seafood supplier: This project commenced with meticulous preparation, focusing on refining the edges and addressing any irregularities in the screed to establish a robust foundation. Subsequently, the designated areas were ground to achieve a uniformly clean and textured surface, with particular attention to rectifying any pitted spots, ensuring an impeccable finish. To accommodate the specific requirements of the setup, precision saw cutting was employed to introduce essential toe-ins and anchor points. The final touch involved the application of a 9mm polyurethane resin, chosen for its durability and aesthetic appeal. Allowing for a curing period over the weekend ensured the optimal hardening of the resin, completing the comprehensive process.
