We assume that the substrate will be strong enough to withstand the preparation and subsequent treatment and also that the substrate is suitable to receive the loading,
whether dynamic or static, for which it is intended during its occupational use, as no prior testing will be carried out by East Coast Flooring Ltd unless specified includes any cure times in which systems require to reach full strength.
Any underlying services, induction loops or any other services are to be made aware to ECF prior to any commencement of works as ECF do not carry out any tests of our own and cannot be liable or responsible for any failure to any underlying induction loops or services of the like and will not accept any contra charges for any repairs or down time of production.
It is assumed that there will be access throughout the contract, with no problems arising from noise and dust. Works prepared by captive shot blasting method prove to be virtually dust free. However, whilst we endeavour to keep the noise and dust to a minimum, it must be understood that some dust emission and noise is inevitable from some types of preparation works and we assume that this will be acceptable as we cannot accept any responsibility for claims and cleaning etc. As a precaution, any sensitive machinery or equipment should be covered over by the client unless otherwise agreed with East Coast Flooring Ltd.
Skips for removal of arising and/or any on-site debris to be provided by the client unless otherwise agreed.
This quotation is based on the assumption that the work is to be carried out in one visit to the site unless otherwise agreed, and that the areas will be cleared by others prior to the commencement of the contract, and the works will progress in a logical manner with uninterrupted and continuous working from arrival on site. If standing time or
abortive visits are incurred, we reserve the right to claim any labour and/or travelling expenses. Late cancellation will incur costs.
Aborted visits and any lost working time/hours due to internal/external adverse weather conditions will be chargable.
It is also assumed loading/unloading facilities will be provided by the client.
PLEASE NOTE:
We assume that there is an adequate and proper Damp Proof Membrane incorporated in the construction of the substrate, as certain systems may be susceptible to moisture permeating through the substrate, and whilst we can draw this to your attention we cannot be held responsible should this occur. Hand trowelled screeds will not be pool free or trowel sweep free due to the nature of the application. Tolerances, flatness, levels are not allowed for unless prior specified.
We assume adequate lighting is provided and require an ambient temperature between 15ºC and 20ºC during all applications and curing.
Protection of new flooring works is the responsibility of the client.
East Coast Flooring Limited take no responsibility for any damage or contamination caused by others during all applications.
Cleaning, maintenance advice will be forwarded upon request only.
Upon delivery to site, all materials are to be stored in a dry ambient temperature store.
On site lifting on or off to be available throughout duration of contract.
Expansion joints where reflected through new screed systems may crack away from newly installed jointing compound. This is the cause of the existing joint not being of a straight parallel nature, hair line cracking should not cause any detrimental effects to the floors performance.
No works will be carried out without an official order number document.
Preparation may cause surface profile which may mirror thorough certain applications.
Due to coatings being applied, variable preparation profile, existing coatings, contamination, new and old repairs will all mirror through and be visual.
Polyurethane systems are not UV stable and may be susceptible to colour change.
If existing substrates have a high content of surface laitance and surface aggregate, this may result in preparation profile and removal of aggregates mirroring through newly applied coatings.
